Country fair fun

The 19th annual Mauriceville Country fair was blessed with fine fair weather on Sunday.

The Clarke Memorial Domain was packed with people out to enjoy a Sunday afternoon. And the combination of good music, great stalls and plenty of fun made the perfect family day out.

The new additions to the fair such as the inflatable obstacle course and children’s barrel train, accompanied by The Emerald Brothers band, were a success.

Popular stalls included crafts, local foods, vintage cars, steam trains and machinery, as well as the fair tradition of raffles.

Organiser Jenny Barre said with next year being the 20th anniversary of the fair, she was planning a secret surprise for next year’s event.

“It will be very exciting,” she said.
