Gilbert James.
Of Palmerston North (formally of Rongotea and Wairarapa), passed away peacefully on Sunday 20th March 2022, in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of Clare (nee McAleese) and brother of last surviving sister, Hanorah Lett (Carterton). Much loved father and father-in-law of Carmel RNDM, Patrick and Lori (USA), Loretta and Bill Roundhill (Blenheim), Frank and Alison (Wellington), and Bernadette and David Brokenshire (Rongotea).  Loved Grandad of Johannah, Abigail, Leticia, Willie, Biddy, Cam, Jackson, Rachel, Billy, Kate, Sophie, and their partners. Great grandad of eight boys.

Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Thursday 24th at 1:30pm, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Palmerston North, followed by private cremation. Prayer service and the sharing of stories will be held on Wednesday 23rd at 5:30pm, in the same church. In accordance with current restrictions, vaccine passes are required, and numbers limited to 100.
