Night works

Night-time roadworks started last night in Carterton to install a raised crossing at High St as Waka Kotahi and Wellington Transport Alliance continue SH2 safety improvements. Diversions will be in place, and the Holloway St intersection will be closed. The work will run from 6pm to 6am and should last approximately seven nights. Stop/go traffic management will be in place on SH2, with traffic control from Memorial Square Rd to south of Pembroke St, and drivers should expect delays. As the intersection with Holloway St will be closed completely during this period, people wanting to access Holloway St, Tyne St, or Nelson Cres will need to access these roads via Park Rd and Dixon St. Motorists from Holloway St joining High St will need to do so via Park Rd/Belvedere Rd roundabout, or south via Rutland Rd.
