Wider training squad named

New Copthorne Wairarapa-Bush coach Reece Robinson has included a mix of experience and youth in his first wider training squad, named yesterday.

Thirty-nine players have been named to prepare for the King’s Birthday Weekend fixture against Central Hawke’s Bay.

Among them are two Martinborough players who made a big impression in Saturday’s Lane Penn Trophy victory – 17-year-old winger Conall Doyle and flanker Sam Twigley – and two players from senior reserve side Masterton Red Star – No. 8 Jack Loader and first-five Josh Wilson.
