The JAB rugby players were back in action at the weekend and ripped straight back into it.
The Under-13 Southern team had a close game with Gladstone/Tuhirangi defeating them 24-12, with players of the day going to Kawhia Vizor and Baylee Erberlein.
Under-11s went down to Martinborough/Tuhirangi 10-40, while the Under-9s had a loss to MRS.
Players of the day went to James Dolan and Kyle Williams.
The Under-8s played Carterton twice and had two losses, with George Fletcher and Kaleb Adams both grabbing hat-tricks.
Players of the day were Van Saunders and George Fletcher.
Under-6s enjoyed some extra games against Gladstone and Riley Welsh, Tyler Jenkinson and Archie Galdbreath were standouts.
Gladstone Under-11s kicked off the weekend of rugby facing Red Star/Carterton and player of the day was Harry Heffernan, and most improved Max Hintz.
Gladstone Under-6 Black’s player of the day was Richie Taylor, and most improved Marley Mason,
Under-6 White’s player of the day was Alex Lock while Under-6 Gold’s player of the day was Blake McGregor.
Under-8 Gold had a loss, with player of the day won by Ben Gardiner.
The Under-8 Black team had two losses against Martinborough and Featherston with player of the day won by Benji Gardner.
The Under-9s played Marist and won a great game 9-3 with Luke Jonas scoring four tries and player of the day going to Patrick Shaw.
The Under-10s had a tough encounter with Martinborough with players of the day George Blundell and Jack Anderson.
Player of the day for the Gladstone/Tuhirangi Under-13s was Billy Blundell.
