The third race in the Athletics and Cycling Masterton [ACM] Harriers 2023 cross-country series was held last Sunday 14 May, where 70 runners competed for the Talbot Memorial trophies.

Weather conditions were fine at the Kamahi farm track in Rangitumau, but muddy ground conditions necessitated slight deviations to the planned track.

Only a few competitors completed the demanding 8km course, with the majority electing to run the shorter 6, 4 or 2km circuits.

The next race in the series is on Sunday May 28 at a new venue on Matapihi Road.
