Peacefully, at Kandahar Home, Masterton, on Wednesday 22 September 2021. Much loved wife of the late Harley. Special friend of the late John Griffith. Adored mother of Richard and Sandi, Andrew and Michael, Robert and Helen, Chrissina and Bruce Donald, and the late Matthew. Treasured and adored Gran of Ben, Katy and Pete, Nick and Ash, David and Petra, Florence and Mike, Sam and Jenna, Molly, Hannah, and Georgina. Great Gran of Ellias, Zachary, and Taylor. Much loved sister of the late Murray McLaren, and the late Kathleen Thomason. Loved Aunt of Deborah, Kirsten, and Joanna. She will be deeply missed by friend Diane Grant, and all of Marilyn’s extended family. Special thanks to the staff of Lyndale Manor and Kandahar Home for their warm and compassionate care of Mum.

A service to celebrate Marilyn’s life will be held in the Lansdowne Presbyterian Church, 1 Totara Street, Masterton, on Thursday 30 September at 1:00pm followed by interment at Masterton Lawn Cemetery.
