EDWARDS,
Theodore Christopher (Theo).
10 October 1999 to 24 August 2021.
We are mourning the loss of Theo who died very suddenly in Christchurch on Tuesday of meningitis. Theo lived his 21 years to the full. He was a keen tramper, runner, skier, fisherman, forestry student, and mountaineer.  He touched so many people’s lives.  Generous to the end, Theo gave the ultimate gift as an organ donor.  We are incredibly heartbroken by Theo’s death. But as well as mourning, we are also determined to celebrate his wonderful life and all of the joy he experienced and brought to his family and friends.
In the current circumstances it is difficult to farewell Theo, but there will be events in the near future.  And when we continue to celebrate and reminiscence about Theo, we will hum and sing one of his favourite songs – the 1967 jazz piece, “The Bare Necessities”. Especially the lines: “Don’t spend your time lookin’ around for something you want that can’t be found… The bare necessities of life will come to you”. Thanks, from: Juleen Saxton and Gareth Edwards (parents; Nelson), Seb and Annalise (siblings, Nelson), Val and Rob Saxton (Grandparents, Greytown), Keith Edwards (grandfather; Nelson), the late Patricia Edwards (Grannie), his aunties and uncles – Nelda and Dean, Phil and Hayley, Mark and Violeta, Louise and Malcolm, Sandy and Jeff, Bryce and Emma, Pauline and Trevor, his many cousins and Michael (best friend). Also huge thanks to the wonderful medical team at Christchurch Hospital ICU for looking after Theo and his whanau at this difficult time.
