After 7 long years locked in the yards, Wayne has now finally found the gate to greener pastures in the top paddock. Pain free at last. Loving husband of Barbara. Much loved father and father in law of Janine and Iain Sims, and Stuart and Angela. Grandpa of Amelia and Bailey Sims; Kirk, Tessa, and Flynn de Ridder. Loved brother of Jan, Lynne, and Kaye. Heartfelt thanks to all the Staff at the Taradale Masonic for the care and love given to Wayne, also to the many people that have assisted in giving Wayne some quality of life.
A funeral service to celebrate Wayne’s life will be held at the Sugar Loaf Chapel of Howard & Gannon Funerals, cnr Lee Road and Gloucester Street, Taradale, Napier on Tuesday January 26, 2021 at 11am, followed by a private cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Hawke’s Bay Rescue Helicopter Trust can be made at the service and would be gratefully appreciated.
