A truck travelling north on State Highway 2 skidded and flipped upside down at an intersection in Waingawa, between Carterton and Masterton, on Wednesday night.
A police officer on the scene said the male driver of the truck – a Toyota ToyoAce – had lost control at the Cornwall Rd-Norfolk Rd intersection with State Highway 2 at about 6.45pm.
Skid marks were visible on the road for about 50 metres leading up to the position where the truck had come to a rest.
Wellington Free Ambulance transported the driver to Wairarapa Hospital as a precaution, a police officer on the scene said.
The man was not seriously injured.
A team had set the truck upright for removal at about 7.45pm.
