Pharmacies across Wairarapa have launched online shopping to help customers get the products they need delivered to their door.

The new shopping site Pharmacy Solutions will serve as an extension to Lang’s, Carterton, Duncan’s, and Life Pharmacy Masterton, as well as Mana Pharmacy in Porirua.

The Pharmaceutical Society has recommended that everyone entering a pharmacy be triaged, meaning an immediate assessment of covid-19 symptoms or any other illness.

As well as this, the highest standards of sanitisation and distancing must be carried out, with one person allowed in at a time.

This, compounded with Alert Level Four guidance that over-70s should stay home, can make a trip to the pharmacy a source of anxiety for some.

In some cases, these constraints have left vulnerable groups reluctant to visit, or minimise their visits by stocking up; something March spending figures have demonstrated.

Online orders for delivery can be made through the website at shop.pharmacysolutions.nz with the option to request repeat prescriptions to your local pharmacy being another feature.
