The search for missing 21-year-old Chelsea Brunton has been called off following the discovery of a body today.
The former Kuranui College and Teen Parent Unit student was reported missing on Saturday and was last seen at the Palmerston North Hospital.
Her mother had told the Times-Age that recent events had put her daughter into a “low state of depression”.
Her body was found at a residential property in Palmerston North.
While formal identification and a post mortem is still to be completed, the body is believed to be that of Chelsea.
There are no suspicious circumstances and the death will be referred to the Coroner.
Police would like to thank everyone who assisted with the search.
