Winter has arrived, and police are asking for everyone on the road to take an extra bit of care in the bad weather.

Tuesday night was especially bad as multiple crashes were reported.

Just before midnight on Tuesday, Masterton police got reports of a two-car crash on Te Ore Ore Rd, Masterton.

Only one vehicle, which had gone through a fence, was found at the scene.

There were no reported injuries, and inquiries are ongoing into the incident.

Reports of drifting on Lincoln Rd, Masterton, and complaints about the noise were reported just after 8pm.

Police were dispatched but were unable to find the car in question.

Not long after, police were called out to a crash near the intersection of Western Lake Rd and East West Access Rd, in South Wairarapa.

It was a one-vehicle crash where the vehicle had rolled.

Fire and ambulance were called but there was no one near the vehicle when police arrived at the scene.

Inquires are ongoing.

On Wednesday, the morning rush was interrupted by a crash along State Highway 2, between Norfolk Rd and the Waingawa bridge.

The three-car collision was minor, and there were no reported injuries.

The northbound lane was partially blocked for a short period.
