MyTrucking, an international software company headquartered in Carterton is promoting National Truck Driver Appreciation Week this week by offering a prize of a personalised artwork of them and their truck to the driver with the most votes.

“Drivers are the front line of the industry and MyTrucking is proud to be a principal supporter of New Zealand’s Truck Driver Appreciation Week to say a big ‘thank you’ to the men and women that keep NZ moving,” MyTrucking founder Sara Orsborn said.

MyTrucking said there would be running an online campaign for anyone to nominate their favourite driver in the lead up to appreciation week, then during the week everyone would vote on the most deserving.

Voting closes on February 28.

“The lucky truckie wins an amazing personalised artwork commission of them and their truck to proudly display at home, or in their office – and the kudos from being in the NZ Truck Drivers Gallery on our website and across social channels,” Osborn said.

The MyTrucking team would also be out and about on the roads during the appreciation week, handing out goodie bags to drivers.

“Last year, covid lockdowns showed us that truck drivers keep the country and our economy running,” Orsborn said.

“We’re truly grateful and this is our little way of saying thank you.”
