The Rahui Coastal Loop fundraiser for the Tīnui village was a smashing success over the weekend, with the 53 keen riders who registered contributing more than $2200 to the cause. The bake sale raised a further $468 for the village. Rahui Coastal Loop owner Lucinda Maunsell said the weather was perfect on the day and the trail dried out enough for riders, although a challenging section of mud remained. People travelled from Masterton, Featherston, Wellington, and Palmerston North to participate. Maunsell said it was great to show the visitors some new countryside. The day also hosted a raffle for the Tīnui and Whareama schools.
