A sip, a rev, a crunch, and a stroll

A day of music, wine, dancing, food, and fun is on offer at Le Gra Vineyard tomorrow. Local performer Michael Krishnan Jones will warm people up with his acoustic guitar and “legendary voice.”

Along with giving his very best Johnny Cash impression – one that’s “known throughout the land” – he’ll be providing folky covers from the ’60s through to the present day and covering the work of singers ranging from Scott McKenzie through to George Ezra.

Also appearing – new to the Le Gra but already a popular favourite in the region – are the Relatives, a popular contemporary electrifying live band who will perform a diverse range of all your favourite hits from likes of The Killers, The Weekend, Queen, Harry Styles, Bruno Mars, Bon Jovi, David Bowie, and many more.

The vineyard will also have its usual popular caravan bar serving Le Gra wines alongside a selection of beer, cider, and soft drinks. The kitchen will also be doing delish platters.

Le Gra Vineyard, 42 Loopline Rd Masterton, Saturday, 12pm – 6pm. Tickets are $39.50 for adults, $19.50 for children aged 7 – 16, and free for kids under 7, and can be purchased by calling 027 448 6433.

Pahiatua market

Tomorrow, you might like to consider leaving the confines of the indoors and venturing north for a day of relaxing strolls among the different stall holders at a market that’s being hosted in Pahiatua.

Pahiatua Town Square, Main St, Saturday, 9am – 1pm. Entry is free and open to all ages.

Apple harvest festival

Molewood Orchard invites you to a harvest festival tomorrow that has been carefully calibrated to keep you entertained.

Stalls and food trucks will be sure to quench your thirst, appease your appetite, and keep you engaged.

Also, being an apple orchard, there is cider tasting in addition to an opportunity to pick your own apples and taste that classic crisp crunch. Games for kids will also be available.

Molewood Orchard, 17 Mole St Greytown, Saturday, 10 am – 3 pm. Entry is free, and pedestrian entry on the day will be on Farley Av.

American car day

The iconic Tui Brewery in Mangatainoka is welcoming car and motorbike owners to participate in the Mangatainoka Motors Show and Shine Day on Sunday.

Owners of vintage cars, classic cars, hot rods, and big, loud V8s are welcome. In addition, members of the public are also invited to view the vehicles. Alongside vehicles will be live music, delicious food and, of course, the opportunity to neck a refreshing pint of Tui beer.

Tui Brewery, SH2 Mangatainoka, Sunday, 9.30am – 5pm. Entry is free and open to all ages.
