Three car crashes over two days

Wairarapa police responded to several car crashes in Masterton in the past two days.

Police received a report of a two-vehicle crash involving a motorbike and bus at the intersection of Dixon and Church streets on Thursday at about 7.30am.

A police spokesperson said an ambulance was called, and one person with moderate injuries was taken to Wairarapa Hospital by Wairarapa Free Ambulance [WFA].

“Police continue to make enquiries into the circumstances of the crash,” the spokesperson said.

At about 12.20pm on the same day, police received a report of a collision between a car and a pedestrian at the intersection of Bannister and Queen streets.

The road was closed for a short period of time.

One person with moderate injuries was taken to hospital by WFA, and police continue to make enquiries about the incident.

On Friday, police received a report of a two-vehicle crash on Chapel St at about 11.14am.

The resulting damage consisted of “just a few scratches on the vehicles”, the police spokesperson said, and “there were no blockages, but police attended and spoke to the parties involved”.
