Police seek cars of interest in Greytown hit and run investigation

Police have released CCTV images of further vehicles being sought in relation to a recent hit and run incident in Greytown.

The incident, which happened between 6.30am and 7am on Sunday, June 25, left Greytown resident William Newton severely injured.

Last week, police released a description of a mid-’90s model blue or green Holden Commodore sedan they were looking for as part of the investigation.

Yesterday, they shared CCTV photos of this vehicle, as well as three additional vehicles also caught on camera in the vicinity of the hit and run.

“We’re just hoping the images will jog people’s memories if they did see something that might be relevant to the inquiry,” a police spokesperson said.

The vehicles in question were travelling north through Greytown and Carterton on the morning of the incident.

Police believe the drivers may be able to assist with the investigation.

Police are asking anyone who may have information, or knows who the vehicles belong to, to please contact them on 105 quoting file number 230713/0952.

Information can also be provided anonymously via Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 111.
