Funding forums

Masterton District Council’s Funder Forum is making a return this year. The expo event is an opportunity to connect directly with key funders in Wairarapa, with chances to have one-on-one discussions and access information about grants and funding available in the region. Masterton’s expo will take place on Tuesday, March 5 at Trade Hall 1, Solway Showgrounds from 3pm to 7pm. Carterton’s will take place in the Carterton Events Centre, Monday, March 4 from 3pm to 7pm. South Wairarapa’s will take place at the Martinborough Town Hall on Thursday, March 5 from 3pm to 7pm. For anyone interested in attending, online registration is required through the council’s website.

Creative grant

South Wairarapa District Council’s [SWDC] Creative Communities Grant is now open. The Creative Communities Scheme supports and encourages local communities to create opportunities to improve access or participation in the arts and is a partnership between Creative NZ and SWDC, who administer the scheme. Anyone interested in learning more or applying should visit SWDC’s website and search ‘grants’. Applications close February 23.

Local photographer Geoff Walker will be the first speaker of the Wairarapa branch of the Institute of International Affairs. The meeting will be at Rosewood, 417 Queen St, Masterton at 8pm on February 22. For more information, contact Aileen Weston on 06 372 5741 or [email protected].
