Water project completed
The Dalefield Rd pump station in Carterton has been completed and commissioned within budget, with a saving of about $40k. Last year, councillors unanimously agreed to double the Dalefield Rd Pump Station project budget to $1.2 million. At the time, it was noted that the pump station project would be funded with $836k from water reserves, and $364k from new waters borrowing. The pump station enables the use of new water storage tanks. Following the commissioning of the pump station, minor defects were identified with the water tanks, according to a recent Carterton District Council report. All of the defects were repaired by December 19, 2023.
