New measuring rules in place

The rules for measuring packhorse rock lobster changed on April 1. Fishers must measure the tail width to meet the regulated size. The minimum legal size is 90mm for female packhorse rock lobsters and 84mm for male ones. Fishery Officers will be enforcing this rule by checking that fishers have measured the tail width and not the tail length. Failure to measure the rock lobster correctly could result in a fine.
