Police perform
peacemaker role
Police have responded to several calls over the past few days where verbal and physical threats were made, and some mediation was required. A report of disorder was received shortly after 7pm on Monday night, and attending police were able to diffuse the situation involving one person who was verbally abusive and possibly intoxicated, and no further action was needed. A call on Tuesday, shortly before 8am, involved reports of three people making verbal threats at an address on Regent St. Police attended the scene, and follow-up investigations are ongoing.
Library opens
doors later
The Masterton District Library will be opening at 10.30am, an hour later than usual, on Tuesday, November 14 due to staff training. Usual library hours will resume on Wednesday, November 15.
Temporary
bus stop shifts
As work begins this month on new water mains for High St North, between Plimsoll and Rhodes St, Carterton District Council is reminding people that temporary bus stops will also be in place. The bus stop 238 High St North will be temporarily shifted to 216-218 High St North and the bus stop at 239 High St North will be moved to 223-235 High St North. This is to allow contractors to work uninterrupted and complete the works in that section of road within the next three to four weeks, after which bus stops will revert back to their original spots.

There will be an opportunity for Martinborough residents to meet with the Martinborough Community Board at the Waihinga Centre, Martinborough on every second Saturday of the month, and share their views, concerns, opinions, and ideas. These sessions are held between 10am and 12pm.
