Pahiatua water

A Tararua District Council [TDC] spokesperson said yesterday that Pahiatua’s treated water supply has seen an improvement in both treated water capacity and storage over the weekend, and the reservoir is back up to 44 per cent capacity. “Notwithstanding the positive progress and an observable reduction in the community’s water consumption, continued water conservation is still required as we head towards the goal of 50 per cent capacity in the reservoir,” the spokesperson said. As of yesterday, Pahiatua has just under three days of treated water at the current treated capacity and the town’s rate of consumption. Meanwhile, the total outdoor ban remains in place.
