The WBS Wairarapa Awards are back for another year, with Business Wairarapa hosting the gala awards dinner at the George Hood Auditorium at Masterton’s Aerodrome on Tuesday, November 14.
The awards night is dedicated to shining a light on the businesses, organisations, and people going above and beyond in the region.
The WBS Wairarapa Awards categories are: Gibson Sheat Team Award, Harcourts Hamill Realty Innovation Award, Kahungunu ki Wairarapa Pakihi Māori Award, Masterton Trust Lands Trust Not-For-Profit Award, MORE FM Wairarapa 89.5 Service Award, Tranzit Vibrant Award, WBS Emerging Award, and White Swan Country Hotel Experience Award.
Kiwi entertainment icon and much-loved television and radio personality Jason Gunn will be this year’s MC.
Meanwhile, two new categories have been included in this year’s awards: The Masterton Trust Lands Trust Not-For-Profit Award is to recognise the support and contribution made by a not-for-profit organisation to Wairarapa’s community, while the White Swan Country Hotel Experience Award is presented to businesses that provide an outstanding customer experience and ensure their visitors feel welcome.
“The WBS Wairarapa Awards are an opportunity for local businesses and organisations, whether they are a start-up or have a long history, to share their stories, celebrate their success, and gain recognition for their brand, team and stakeholders,” Business Wairarapa chair Marie-Claire Andrews said.
“There are businesses, organisations, and people who are doing amazing things and are taking the region to new heights, but they fly under the radar, so what better place to celebrate our region’s achievements than the home of 2019 Supreme Winner, Wings over Wairarapa.”
