A Masterton mother has exhausted almost every possibility in the search for her missing daughter.
21-year-old Chelsea Brunton was last seen on Saturday morning outside Palmerston North Hospital.
The former Kuranui College and Teen Parent Unit student had stepped outside to have a cigarette, but did not return, leaving behind her essential belongings.
“She didn’t have a car, she didn’t have a phone, and she didn’t have any money or her money card,” Lynette said.
Her mother said recent events had put Chelsea into a “low state of depression”, and she was concerned for her wellbeing.
Chelsea had been wearing black trousers, a red shirt and a black jacket on the day she went missing.
The 21-year-old’s disappearance was “extremely uncharacteristic”.
She also has a three-and-a-half-year-old daughter.
“I’m desperate to get her back,” Lynette said.
“Everybody is desperate to get her back. Her daughter Bailey needs her.
“We all love her so much, and we’re just desperate to have her back.”
Chelsea has been living in Palmerston North after moving from Masterton earlier this year, but “regularly comes home with Bailey”.
Her Wairarapa-based friends are on the lookout and are hoping for her safe return, distributing missing posters around Wairarapa, Palmerston North, and Wellington, and extending their reach to social media.
Police are investigating and are asking for anyone able to assist with locating Chelsea to contact them as soon as possible.
