A diver has been reported missing at Flat Point beach in Wairarapa.
A police spokesperson said the man was one of a party of three people.
Police were notified at 12.58pm, and a local helicopter is being used to search the area.
The Wellington Police Maritime Unit Lady Elizabeth is being sent to the area, and a navy ship is nearby and is poised to assist.
