The annual Cliffhanger Hillclimb up Admiral Hill on the outskirts of Masterton presented an opportunity for more than 30 motorcyclists to test themselves, while forgetting the covid-19 crisis, for several hours.

Shanon Dellow won Class One in a time of two minutes, 12.622 seconds over a distance of 6.1km.

Second was Pat Wagner [2:17.468] with Matt Cox [2:24.689] third.

Walker Tarbon, competing in Class Two, clocked the fastest time of the day with 2.12.097, beating Hamish Tarr [2.13.363] and Jean-Pierre Bouchet [2.17.420].

It was a tight fight between Tarbon and Tarr. It was decided on the last run when Tarr produced his fastest run of the day which fell short of Tarbon’s best.

The classics category, featuring some nice old bikes, was won by Corey Field [2.51.867] with Jackson Wilton [2.57.363] second and Doug Fairbrother [3.05.530] third.
