Ripping good fun at junior rugby

The Greytown Under-6s started their JAB rugby round in Featherston on Saturday, having ripping fun, with players of the day going to Corey Collins and Lachie Perkins.

The Under-8s had a close game against MRS with players of the day going to Heath Dunnet and Harry Neilson.

The Under-9s had a win against Marist and players of the day went to Titan Te Kani and Charlie Fawdray.

The Under-11s beat Eke/MRS and the Under-13s played in Featherston jerseys against Carterton in Featherston as part of their 140th celebrations and had a loss, with player of the day won by Baylee Eberlein.

Gladstone JAB rugby teams were all over Wairarapa on Saturday.

The Under-6 White team had some great games with Jack Carlsen winning player of the day and Parker Dancey most improved, while Under-6 Black’s player of the day was Marley Mason and most improved Jodie Dennes.

Under-6 Gold’s player of the day was Paige McGregor and most improved Troy McGregor.

Under-8 Gold lost to Featherston and players of the day were Oscar Nicol and Monty Fairbrother, while Under-8 Black’s player of the day was Angus Dennes.

The Under-9s lost to MRS with player of the day going to Logan Mason and most improved Tom Nicol.

The Under-10s lost to Marist and player of the day was Enzo Fuller, while the Under-11s travelled to Featherston and put together their best team effort this season.

Player of the day was Lucas Sargent and Jock Rutherford most improved.

The Gladstone/Tuhirangi Under-13s hosted Marist White and lost, with player of the day going to Jackson Sargent.
