There were very few surprises on the second and final day of grading games for the Netball Wairarapa senior competitions at the Trust House Wairarapa Netball Centre on Saturday.
Defending premier one champions, Harcourts had two convincing wins, beating Makoura Senior A 26-15 and Martinborough Masters 35-7.
Last year’s beaten finalists Jo Kelly and Co Carterton Maroon recorded a 31-20 victory over Makoura and had a 20-16 win over Celtic United, who wrapped up their grading with a win by default over Carterton Legends.
Wairarapa College Senior A thrashed Property Brokers Featherston 48-7 and Property Brokers Greytown 53-4 to ensure a spot in the top division.
Premier one regulars Greytown Holmes Construction had two wins over Carterton Black [21-11] and Featherston [34-12], while St Matthew’s Senior A had a mixed bag, beating Property Brokers Greytown 26-9, but losing to Carterton Black 10-17.
The teams will now be sorted into divisions of six teams. Competitions will start under lights on Friday, June 11.
