TRICKER,
Gary Walter.
Of Greytown. Aged 82 died unexpectedly from a stroke on the 23rd August 2021. Gary was a well-known and respected artist within New Zealand and an internationally acclaimed printmaker who lived his life around Wellington and the Wairarapa creating art and cheering for the Hurricanes. Pamella Annsouth his partner was by his side when he left us all. It is a hard thing to bear, let alone in covid times and Gary’s family is grateful to Pamella and the hospital staff for the care. Gary has two sisters, Ann Sutherland and Barbara Bashell as well as nieces and nephews. We will miss our whimsical, semi-abstract surreal creator. We hope that in better times we can all come together and celebrate the life of one of New Zealand’s artists who added colour and life to our landscape.
“Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life.” Pablo Picasso
