SMITH,
Manon Elinor (nee Weber).
On the evening of the 14th of October, having fought a courageous battle and surrounded by her loving family, Manon peacefully slipped away – two days after her 42-year wedding anniversary to her beloved husband Chris. Cherished mother and mother-in-law to Amy and Cody, Robin and Paganne, and Kelsy. Adored Nana of George and Margot, Avery and Franklin, and Bazoo and Frank. Dearest sister-in-law to Pete and Cathy, Rosie and John, and treasured Auntie Manon to all her nieces and nephews. Beloved daughter of Paul and Helga (deceased) and much-loved older sister of Roger and Pierre (South Africa). Very special thank you to Dr Gordon and the Kahukura Palliative Care Team for their care which allowed Manon to stay at home with her family throughout her journey.
A service to celebrate the life of Manon is to be held at The Village Chapel, 4-6 High Street, Kuripuni, Masterton, on Thursday the 20th of October at 11am followed by private cremation. All family and close friends wanting to attend are encouraged to wear ‘something bright and/or floral’ in keeping with Manon’s bright, mischievous, and fun-loving personality.
