Of Carterton. On 4th June 2019 peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving girls. In his 90th year. Dearly loved husband of the late Val (they were married for 54 years).
Loved father and father-in-law of Carol Duke (Carterton), David (Darwin), Lynley and Steve Murdoch (Townsville), Viv and Laurence Voight (Dunedin).
Loved Grandad of Pania and Andy, Adam and Fiona; Cain, Clay, and Victoria; Laura, Tavish, and Sophia, and loved great Grandad of Olivia, Emilia, and Stella.
Loved brother of Dorothy and the late Ernie Peeling (Canada), Beverley (deceased) and Gerry Versteeg (Canada). A loved uncle and friend to many.
In lieu of flowers a donation to Diabetes Wairarapa C/- PO Box 760, Masterton 5840 would be appreciated and may be left in the chapel foyer.
A service for Doug will be held in the Richmond Chapel, Richmond Rd, Carterton on Monday 10 June 2019 at 2.00pm followed by private cremation.
