Peacefully at Te Whare Ra Uta, Kenepuru Hospital.  Very dearly loved husband of Rosemary.  Treasured father of Sarah and Cristina, Jane and Jamie, Mary and Jeremy, Robbie and Ces, and Emma.  Very special Pater of Charlotte and Katie; Max, Eleanor and Isaac; Olly, Gracie, Jack, Harry and Lily; Roman and Raven.  Loved brother of David and Erica Newton, and Anne and Keith Searle, and loved uncle of Catherine and Nicola.  A highly respected teacher, tramper, rose grower, music lover and friend to many.  John will be sorely missed.  In lieu of flowers donations may be left at the church for Alzheimers Wairarapa or Forest and Bird Society.
A service to celebrate John’s life will be held on Saturday 9th June at 2.00pm at St Luke’s Church, 158 Main Street, Greytown.  Messages C/- PO Box 2055 Masterton, 5842.
