Edward Mayne (Ted).
Born 26th June 1932.
Ted passed away peacefully, aged 89, with his loving wife at his side on Saturday, March 5th, 2022. Treasured husband of 65 years to Nola. Loving father and father-in-law to Kim (Featherston) and Annette and Tony (USA).
Known by those close to him as “Madcap” Morecraft, Ted’s passions and interests were cars, motorbike scrambling, snooker, country music, and his vegetable garden. He was extremely proud of the 1929 Hudson Super Six he helped restore which is on display at the Southward Museum. Ted was loving and kind, with a quiet and warm presence. His big blue eyes and mischievous smile were mesmerizing.
His memory will live on in our hearts forever.
A private cremation and memorial gathering will be held later. Messages may be sent to Duckett’s Funeral Home, 56 Fitzherbert Street, Featherston 5710.
