Aged 93. Passed away peacefully on Sunday afternoon, surrounded by his children. Beloved husband of the late Elaine for nearly 60 years and identical twin of the late George. Treasured and wise father of Jenni, Jonathan, David and Fiona and loved father-in-law of John, Laurie and Linda. Adored Grandpa of Brigitte, Sébastien, Natalie, Evangeline, Madeleine, Eloise, Amelia, Gabriel and Rémy and dearly loved uncle of his many nieces and nephews. Both Ken and George reached great heights in many sports, including gymnastics, cricket, swimming and badminton. And as a vegetarian for more than 85 years, he was a man ahead of his time. Special thanks to the small team of support workers who helped him stay in his own home until just after his 93rd birthday. Thank you also to the medical team on the Medical/Surgical ward of Masterton Hospital and finally, sincere gratitude to all the nurses, support workers and the rest of the team from the Hospital Wing of Lansdowne Park for your dedicated care and kindness to our Dad. He will be so missed.
