David Bruce (Dave).
Much loved husband of Prue and father to Deb, Tim and Pete. Father in law to Charlie, Margaret and Sarah. Cherished grandad to Chris and Nick and Train grandad to Alex, Daniel and Hannah. Loved brother of Rob and Lynne. A dear friend to many. Dave died on 21 December after a long illness.
At his request, a family only service has been held. Dave enjoyed a full life of family, legal practice, trains and writing. He lived in Masterton, Christchurch, Alexandra and more recently Waikanae. The family sincerely thank all the staff at Parkwood Lodge for the care, fun, and warmth that they shared with Dave over many years. While the fire might be out, the steam whistle still blows.
