Passed away surrounded by family on Monday 01 July 2024 at Wairarapa Regional Hospital, aged 88. Daughter of the late Frank and Jessie Irain (Wellington). Wife of the late David Patterson. Loving sister to Stella, John, Milton, Donna (all deceased), and Ronwen and Don Bowker. Cherished companion to Charlie Strong. Dearly loved and much adored mother and mother-in-law to Cherie and Graham Flynn, John Leitch (dec), and Coral and Rudi Zettler. Treasured Grandma to Jeffrey, Paul (and Shazia), Julia, Matthaeus (and Denise), and Kurt. Doting Great-Grandma to Aneurin and Erin Ball, Ezra and Elizabeth Flynn.
A service to celebrate Sonia’s love of life will be held in the Village Chapel, 4-6 High Street, Kuripuni, Masterton on Monday 8th July, at 2.30pm followed by a private family cremation. Messages may be sent to PO Box 2035, Kuripuni, Masterton 5842.
