Calling all musicians!
Across Aotearoa this May artists are encouraged to get involved in NZ Music Month.
Organised by the New Zealand Music Commission, NZ Music Month 2022 is about shining a light on our local acts and help them reach a wider audience.
The theme this year is Level Up, meaning musicians are encouraged to step up a level in their skill sets or outreach.
Musicians at any stage of their career are invited to take part by showcasing their talents and also supporting those around them.
This can be as simple as boosting a fellow muso’s profile on social media through to collaborating with new artists on creative projects.
The Wairarapa Times-Age is inviting musicians who produce their own songs to get in touch about potential gigs in the Times-Age office for weekly features on regional talents.
Last year’s Music Month showcased a number of Wairarapa artists including Courtney Naera, Hemi Walker, Saali Marks and Sam Tanner on the Times-Age Facebook Live.
In-house music videos from last year were created by Jason Ireland and are available to view on the WTA Facebook page.
