A Police bust has seized a quantity of cash, cocaine, and cars in two operations in 12 hours.
Wairarapa police confirmed a drug bust at a property near Masterton yesterday led to the seizure of a quantity of cocaine, methamphetamine, and cash.
A convoy of police vehicles, including a police wagon, was seen on Masterton’s State Highway 2 shortly before 9am.
Police said one woman was taken into custody after the raid on the rural property, but charges were yet to be laid.
Detective Sergeant Michael Smith said there was still work to do, but the outcome of the early morning search was positive.
“Removing these class A drugs from circulation and ensuring they can’t do harm is significant for our community,” he said.
Police said inquiries relating to the search warrant were ongoing.
A joint justice and police operation has also led to several impounded vehicles in the region.
Wairarapa Area Commander Inspector Scott Miller said Wairarapa and Hutt Valley police officers assisted justice bailiffs in an operation on Thursday night.
He said police and bailiffs were following up on unpaid fines and warrants at six different properties, one of which was a known gang house.
“Six cars were taken, at least one from a known gang house.”
