Three ambulances were called to the scene of a crash, and rescue helicopters were temporarily engaged, at about 9.30pm on Sunday night after a minivan rolled on SH2 north of Mt Bruce.
Wellington Free Ambulance [WFA] confirmed the deployment of three ambulances to treat seven patients on the scene.
Three were in a moderate condition, while four sustained minor injuries.
Only three of the party had to be transported to Wairarapa Hospital’s Emergency Department for further treatment, while the rest were treated on the scene.
A Te Whatu Ora spokesperson confirmed that two were in stable condition as of Monday afternoon, while the third had been transferred to Wellington Regional Hospital where they are now in a stable condition.
A police spokesperson confirmed that “helicopters were engaged but were stood down as not required”.
All but one of the occupants had managed to get out of the rolled vehicle when emergency services arrived.
The final occupant was eventually able to remove themselves, the police spokesperson said.
Police are making further enquiries to determine the cause of the crash.
