The body of missing man Andrew Rance has been found in Wairarapa.
Emergency services were called to Te Whiti Rd, Masterton yesterday afternoon, where a car was in a culvert.
Rance, 21, was also found at that location.
He was last seen around midnight on Saturday, leaving a wedding on Gladstone Rd in his black BMW.
Police issued a missing person report yesterday morning.
Following this, Federated Farmers Wairarapa put out a Facebook post calling for people to look out for the soldier’s car after he failed to return to Linton Army Camp.
The post asked the Wairarapa rural community to check boundary fences for new damage, along with culverts.
According to a friend, Rance was a gunner in the army,
Police are making inquiries into his death.
