Treva and friends available for adoption

Treva is one of more than 35 animals waiting for adoption by forever homes from Masterton SPCA.

Seven-month-old Treva [a girl] was one of four kittens brought into the centre in December, but all her siblings have been adopted.

She was estimated to be about eight weeks old when she arrived and has been at the SPCA for five months.

A spokesperson for the centre said Treva would be suited to living in a calm environment, preferably with adults and older children.

The SPCA is currently offering half-price adoptions across New Zealand. Normally it costs $125 to adopt an animal, which includes current vaccinations, desexing, microchipping, flea and worm treatments. Until 2 June, the cost has been halved to $62.50 as an incentive for people considering adopting a pet.

Masterton SPCA currently has more than 130 animals in its care. Adoptions can be arranged by applying online through the SPCA website, or by telephoning the centre on 06 377 1912 to make an appointment.
