About 200 people enjoyed the Carterton Colour Run at Carrington Park on Saturday.
The events added a splash of colour on a typically overcast Wairarapa autumn afternoon.
Megan Pullin, youth development coordinator at Carterton District Council, said it was a great day out.
“Thank you to our community, the Carterton Youth Village Trust, Rangatahi 2 Rangatira, Carterton Volunteer Fire Brigade, and Carterton Youth Council for an unforgettable and colourful day out,” Pullin said.
“From council’s perspective, connecting our youth and rangatahi with the wider community puts our rangatahi strategy into action. But more importantly, it is just amazing to see our people have a fantastic time.
“I spent the rest of the weekend trying to get paint out of my hair, but it was worth it!”
