The annual Pack the Bus appeal, which aims to take some of the stressful financial struggle out of the Christmas season for those doing it hard, has been a roaring success so far. Members of the public have been flocking to the appeal bus this week to donate new, unwrapped toys, and non-perishable food items so some holiday magic can be delivered to those who need it the most. When the Times-Age caught up with the team yesterday, they reported that they expected to have packed the bus with pressies for the third time this week by the end of the day. Those who haven’t had the opportunity to donate so far – or wish to do so again – have one more chance tomorrow [December 3], when the bus will be parked at Mitre 10 Mega in Masterton from 11am to 1pm.
