Masterton Intermediate School has celebrated raising almost $55,000 through the national School Fun Run campaign.
The funds will go towards activities such as education outside the classroom, sports, art, and indoor activities.
The school was the top fundraiser in the campaign, raising a total of $54,873.
The students completed the colourful run before finishing school and starting their Easter holiday.
The students sought sponsorships on behalf of the school, in the days leading up to the fun run. The top students raised up to $1000 each.
Teacher Juliet Stewart said the students loved the event.
“It was the best day and a great way to end a chaotic term.”
