Clareville Bakery sure to rise

Clareville Bakery’s renovations have begun, with the entire building levitating this week in preparation for an upgrade of its foundations. The bakery will also undergo reroofing once the building comes back down to earth again, while other additions will include newly polished floors and a safer road entrance. The work is expected to be completed in about three weeks, with the bakery back up and running on May 27. The popular spot for a coffee or pastry lunch was meant to undergo renovations for repiling and roof restoration in 2021 but was pushed out due to covid disruptions. Owner Mike Kleog said he’s thankful to be able to proceed now, describing the process of refurbishing the bakery as “giving it some new shoes and a new hat”.
