Beloved Greytown womenswear store Superminx is closing its doors for good next month.
Angela Buswell – who owns the Greytown Superminx boutique, as well as another in Levin – said she is sad to see the end of her Wairarapa store after 15 years.
“It really saddens me to pull out of Greytown, but I just can’t sustain it any longer, and I just need to reduce and consolidate down into my one store in Levin,” Buswell told the Times-Age.
“Just over the last few months, things have really, really slowed down.”
Buswell said she was really disappointed in the store’s turnover last month, as she hoped that the thousands of people who flocked to the town for the Festival of Christmas would’ve had a positive impact on her business.
“We try hard to promote it; we were 100 per cent behind it with our really active Facebook page. We have tapped into social media – we are doing all of that as a business. We’ve tried really hard, and I just can’t sustain it anymore,” Buswell said.
Superminx has started a relocation, with the prices of all their winter products reduced. The sale will run until the store’s official closing date of September 25 – or earlier if all the stock is sold first.
