broken into
Police responded to reports of a vehicle being broken into on Judds Rd, Masterton at 4.15am on Tuesday. A spokesperson for police said the vehicle had its window smashed and undisclosed items taken. Enquires are ongoing.
Voting opens

Flatmate dispute
Police were called to a residential address on Pembroke St, Carterton at 1pm yesterday, after they received reports of flatmates arguing. A spokesperson for police said police attended and in which they confirmed that there were no further issues.
Swimming rules
As the weather slowly warms up, Masterton District Council [MDC] are reminding residents of residential pool regulations. All rules and guidelines can be found on the MDC website. MDC said residents should also get in touch with the council building services team if they have removed or decommissioned their pool. Swell warning
MetService has issued a heavy swell warning for Turakirae Head to Mataikona from 12pm tomorrow to 12am on Sunday, October 1. The southerly swell of four metres will be developing late Saturday evening, easing to three metres Sunday morning. The four-metre swell coincides with high tide and strong southerly winds on Saturday evening.
