Emergency services responded to reports of a vehicle collision in Featherston at about 2.50pm yesterday, but when the police and a fire crew arrived, they noted there hadn’t been any collision; instead, a caravan had fallen off a trailer on Fitzherbert St between Revans and Daniell streets. A police spokesperson confirmed there were no injuries from the unfortunate incident nor any indications that traffic had been blocked. As more people travel out of town, some with caravans, NZ Police and NZTA are urging motorists to take extra care on the roads.
