Weather week
Following a sweltering weekend, today is forecast to be the sunniest day of this week. MetService said there will be cloudy spells about the Tararua District and evening high cloud south of Featherston, with north westerlies becoming strong in exposed places. Tomorrow, north westerlies will strengthen, with possible gales in exposed places. North of Masterton will also experience potentially heavy showers in the afternoon and evening. The rest of the week is looking cloudy, with isolated showers building to persistent rain on Friday.

- Near Moore St Wednesday night, 7pm-5.30am, stop/go traffic control for sign replacement
- Near Lyon St/Birdwood St Sunday-Thursday nights, 7pm-5.30am, stop/go traffic control for raised pedestrian crossing
Carterton SH2
- Near Park Rd, Sunday-Tuesday nights, 7pm-6am, stop/go traffic control for wastewater works
- Near Andersons Line, Monday-Friday, 7.30am-5pm, altered lane layout for waterworks
- Clareville near Somerset Rd, Wednesday-Thursday nights, 7pm-6am, altered line layout for test pits
- Waingawa, Norfolk and Wiltons roundabouts, Sunday-Monday nights, 7pm-6am, road closed southbound for chip sealing.
Masterton SH2
- Waingawa near Ngaumutawa Rd Tuesday-Thursday nights, 7pm-6am, stop/go traffic control for asphalt resurfacing
- Opaki at Loopline and Wingate Rd, Monday 8am-4.30pm, stop/go traffic control for chipseal resurfacing.
- Between Kiriwhakapapa and Mt Bruce, Monday-Friday 8am-4.30pm, stop/go traffic control for barrier installation
- North of Mt Bruce, Monday-Friday 8am-4.30pm, stop/go traffic control for road reconstruction
Featherston SH53
- SH2 and SH3 junction, Thursday 8am-4.30pm, road closure for chip sealing, signposted detour via local roads.
- Near Phillips Line, Thursday 8am-4.30pm, stop/go traffic control for chip sealing.
